The group meets regularly to share and develop an interest in the town. The aim is to work together on a variety of research projects and record the findings for the Local Studies Department in South Shields Central Library. They occasionally have guided walks or guest speakers.

They know there are lots of folks out there with memories to share and they are keen to welcome them to their meetings. They meet in the cafe, downstairs in the South Shields Central Library in Prince Georg Square on the 3rd Monday of every month. Members arrive at 5pm for refreshments and a chance to socialise before the meeting commences at 5:30pm.

For further details please contact Anne Sharp or Keith Bardwell in the Local Studies department.
